Two of the UK’s top singer/songwriters - Mike Silver & Johnny Coppin will be appearing as a duo in The Rumstore, and we are really looking forward to hearing them together.
Since they began playing their music together in early 2005, the partnership has gone from strength to strength, and as it continues to grow, the best is yet to come!  They have released a duo album entitled Breaking The Silence, which has had excellent reviews – Ralph McTell says “Two great writers, two superb voices, three co-written new songs: one huge hit and a sublime Karine Polwart song as well. How many whammies is that? This is a very special album.”  The two men admire and respect each others work, they get together fabulously on this harmony-rich, simple live-in-the-studio recording”.
The combination of Johnny’s piano and Mike’s guitar gets right to the heart of the listener.  This music is from the soul, delivered with tremendous conviction.
They will be playing songs from their duo album and also songs from their individual catalogue and this promises an evening not to be missed, and is a rare opportunity to see Mike and Johnny together in Cornwall.
