This is how this place looks during the season - which is the week before the first Sunday in March, when the Vasaloppet and a number of other races are performed.
The race was established in memory of king Gustav Vasa's escape from the cruel Danes in 1521. The main race is 90 km long, from Sälen to Mora, and it has typically 15000 participants.
