Around the previous turn of the century Carl Larsson published several books with paintings describing family life in their home, which was very personally decorated and furnished by the both of them. The books were printed in full colour, became best-sellers, and are still being reprinted. The Larsson family indeed became highly influential trendsetters within interior design - IKEA is owing them a lot, in particular Karin Larsson!
