We take a leap forward to the newer history of Norway with the polar exploration vessel Fram from 1892. A model in the Fram Museum made by the constructor of the ship, Colin Archer.
The polar exploration vessel Gjøa stands in front of the Fram-Museum. In 1903-06 Gjøa was the first vessel to transit the Northwest Passage - the expedition was led by Roald Amundsen.
