Vasa went down with all hands on its maiden voyage in 1628 and stayed in the mud on the bottom of the harbour of Stockholm for the following 333 years. It is incredibly well preserved - both the ship and its equipment.
The model shows how the ship might have looked under canvas (the original vivid painting is however missing).
